EMIRATES HEALTH SERVICES (EHS)
Emirates Health Services (EHS) saves + $5 million in L&D costs and exceeds 90% overall user satisfaction.
The EHS Training & Development Center (TDC) needed to simultaneously tackle multiple challenges:
- Ensure alignment of individual learning needs with organizational goals
- Adequately serve a highly heterogenous workforce, composed of diverse disciplines, specialties, and expertise levels
- Avail learning opportunities for a workforce dispersed in both space (120+ facilities) and time (24/7 services)
- Ensure easy access to the latest updates, in an industry with a rapidly developing body of knowledge, without overloading users with irrelevant information
- Create an engaging learning environment
- Achieve all the above at a reasonable cost and in a sustainable manner.
TDC needed a solution with a robust base that also allows for customisation and growth, as per organisational needs.
Working with the local Technology Partner Human-Logic, TDC used Totara Learn to develop Maharati (Arabic for “My Skills”).

DEUTSCHE BAHN
Deutsche Bahn AG's Totara LMS boasts 290,000 users and 700,000 course completions annually, and a Guinness World Records title!
The goal was to provide a common platform for all target groups and learning scenarios while administratively separating individual learning areas. Learning within the DB Group varies based on factors such as the target audience, corporate area, and country, resulting in different needs.
To address these complex requirements, Deutsche Bahn chose Totara Learn, due to its strong open-source foundation and modular system, providing the flexibility needed. Totara was also capable of supporting all necessary languages for international deployment.
The solution, named “DB Lernwelt,” was developed by MULTA MEDIO in collaboration with other partners.

PEPSICO
PepsiCo saves +£500k in L&D cost with a mobile-first learning solution in 15+ languages.
PepsiCo has over 15,000 frontline sales resellers spread out across the Sub-Sahara and Europe. Upwards of 95% only speak their local language with a basic understanding of spoken English. The platform therefore needed to support 15+ languages and be intuitive for learners. Furthermore, many salespeople are in regions with poor Wi-Fi, and only have access to their personal device. This meant that the solution had to enable eModules to be completed offline via an app.
PepsiCo selected Totara’s robust and scalable open-source solution to meet this challenge. A bespoke Totara Branded app now provides learners with offline access to learning at the point of need, which synced to the learning platform periodically.
